Yes I have started to freelance, be it on the side for now it is really time for me to move onto bigger and better things. Tonight I will be working on my first official freelance job which will be done by tomorrow.
This is a real tester for me but the advantage I have is that I have been in a small business for a while now so the work and array of things I have to do is now second nature. This has also made me rethink how I run my website, and similar to how Adii is doing I will be moving personal blogs to another domain and run my ‘lil web business’ from here.
Along with the change will be 2 new websites, I like the idea of this theme for my personal website but I need to juice it up a bit and then with the range of business I will be doing I need to have a more professional site on seagyndavis.com. So over the next few weeks I will have to new themes out and hopefully I can get to the point of releasing the theme on my personal site to the public.
Lets see how it goes.

Today I will be finding out if I will get my future studies payed for by my company. If you have or have known someone who has done something like this you will know that it is not always as good as it sounds.
If I do get the ’study allowance’ I will most likely have to sign my life away for a few years which has its up and its downs.
On one hand I am getting knowledge, growing myself and gaining more experience at the same time but on the other hand I will be stuck at a company which potentially could grow slower than I will be (which will slow down my growth) or just abuse what I have signed into for however long I have signed for, which would by shit.
I will have to really think about contract terms and agreements before I sign anything but all I know is that if I start studying my blogs are really going to suffer, especially seagyndavis.com.
On another point I really get stressed when I have unfinished projects sitting around, so I will frantically get them out even if it means I must sacrifice the special functionality I had planned for them.

For those of you that are regular readers of my seagyndavis.com will know that I have been very quite of late. The reason is I have been flooded with a new project my company is working on. In fact there are actually about 10 projects we have going and all of them I am developing.
This large increase of workload has made me change a few of my goals for 2008 which I had previously written in My Plans for 2008. I have decided it is time to expand my knowledge in Computer Science and Information Technology and get a B Sc specializing in it. It is a big decision that has been on my mind for weeks now and will really cut down on my free time I use for blogging, photography and of course my various projects I have running.
I am however confident that I will finish all the projects I have started and still complete most of my goals.
I only start in June/July so the next few months will be frantic!
